Unlike traditional systems that move only the CMM structure, REVO uses synchronised motion between the machine and the head: the CMM performs slow, linear movements while the REVO-2 head carries out fast, precise rotations.
This approach enables continuous high-speed scanning and dense data capture in a very short time, so metrology operators can complete inspections faster and keep production flowing.
The REVO head also improves measurement quality by combining infinite positioning with advanced multi-sensor technology.

With a simple tap, you can access all the main REVO inspection modes, from 3-axis and 5-axis scans to helical and sweep paths on planes, surfaces, and curves.
The REVO system combines infinite positioning capability (like PH20) but with high-performance 5‑axis scanning to:
- Reduce program cycle time thanks to high-speed scanning and continuous motion
- Increase feature access using infinite positioning to reach difficult geometries at the best angle
- Reduce stylus changes and calibrations by covering more features with fewer configurations
- Increase effective CMM volume by reducing the space required for head rotations
In addition, during inspections or when editing the measuring path in TouchDMIS, you can preview the full REVO motion through it’s “ghost probe model”, making it easier to validate angles and avoid collisions before execution.
